Animal Tales – 2002

This exhibit was designed for children and families with the aim of making the Museum’s collections attractive to young people. As such, for the first time the exhibit’s theme was given precedence over the artifacts themselves, which were used to illustrate different pre-Columbian myths and legends involving animals. The stories were written on cubes illuminated from within. Replicas of some of the artifacts on display were made available for young visitors to handle. The exhibit also included a display of ceramic pieces inspired by the exhibit and created by children in a free workshop that was funded by EXPLORA-CONICYT.
