Between the arid Atacama Desert and the fertile Central Valley of Chile lies a territory that in prehistoric times witnessed the development of a unique culture: the Diaguita. With the collaboration of the Museo Arqueológico de La Serena, this display provided a series of ‘snapshots’ of different times during the almost twelve thousand years of human history in this region. These included the ancient hunters who lived off animals now extinct and the relationship that developed between the Diaguita people and the Inka Empire.
