Mounted in collaboration with the Congregation of Salesians, this exhibit was dedicated to the peoples of Chile’s southern territories: the Aonikenk, the Selk’nam, the Yámana and the Kawashkar. Through displays of the few material goods used and produced by these nomadic hunting and gathering peoples, the exhibit sought to introduce the public to their rich ideological world and show how these peoples and their pre-contact ancestors were able to survive in one of the harshest environments on the planet.
