This year, as the region marked we commemorated the 500th anniversary of the European conquest of America, the Pre-Columbian Museum held its first ever exhibit outside of Chile, in the city of Philadelphia, USA. The exhibit included a selection of the best Mapuche pieces in our collection, which illustrated different aspects of the life and history of the Mapuche people. Since then, a smaller version of the exhibit has been mounted in different cities abroad, including New York, Venice and São Paulo.
