Globular flute
This ceramic globular flute was made by the Nasca culture, which inhabited the southern coast of Peru between the years 100 and 700 CE.
It is shaped in the form of a bird with its wings spread and its tail fanned. The eyes are outlined with circles. The underside of the piece has three holes in a horizontal line, the center one –the mouthpiece– larger than the other two, which are fingering holes. This piece was produced by modeling and is hollow.
It produces the notes A, C, and E.
