The Boletín del Museo Chileno de Arte Precolombino is a biannual magazine, founded in March 1985. Currently, it is the only specialized periodical of its kind in Latin America.
The Boletín is primarily aimed at specialists, scholars and students interested on aboriginal American art and symbolism. It accepts research articles, essays and reports in areas such as architecture, visual arts, cognition, cosmology, ecology, economy, ethnicity, ideology, musicology, technology and other related subjects with content and/or graphic material having a clear and justifiable link with the publication’s central theme. Articles combining two or more of these topic areas are especially welcome.
Submissions are evaluated by at least three external publishing consultants, whose anonymity is essential to assuring the originality, quality and suitability of the manuscripts. Articles can be submitted at any time and will be published in order of acceptance, with the reception and approval dates presented on their first page.
The articles, as well as their accompanying references and figures, are the exclusive responsibility of their authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Boletín del Museo Chileno de Arte Precolombino, nor of the Museum.
