George Catlin: pinturas de Sudamérica 1989

Organized by the National Gallery in Washington D. C. and sponsored by the United States Government, this traveling exhibit was also shown in Buenos Aires and Mexico City. Catlin, an important US painter, spent several years among the indigenous tribes of North America and is considered one of the main observers and documentarists of the original ways of life in the Americas. The exhibit included more than fifty works painted between 1852 and 1855.
