San Pedro de Tongos is a small town in the Province of Huaura, in the Peruvian central highlands, located at 3400 meters above sea level. Every year, the feast of San Pedro, patron saint of the town, is celebrated there. During this seven-day celebration, the inhabitants perform a collective theater play in which they remember the death of the last Inka kings, Waskar and Atawallpa, in the hands of the Spaniards.
