Llamas for the Dead

Llamas were one of the few animals that Moche artists never drew with features of humans or other animals. In fact, these animals were used for transportation in the World of the Dead, as they were in real life. However, in this mythical world they did not bear agricultural products or exchange goods, but mutilated men and funerary offerings.
