Painted Mythical Anthropomorphic Being

The offerings found inside the Paracas funerary bundles include a variety of facial ornaments, most of them made of gold leaf. These include diadems, nose rings and disc-shaped ear ornaments. Images of these ornaments found on figures embroidered into the Paracas mantles, as well as those decorating Early Nasca ceramic vessels, show us who used those ornaments and how they were worn.
