Flute. Mammal bone. 17,9 x 2,3 cm (INC-MNAAHP, MO-2448)
Quena or andean flute
The small indentation and the five equally spaced holes identify this bone item as a quena, a simple flute, one of the oldest known musical instruments in Peru. The quena is still played throughout the Andes today.
